The Nueces River in Texas is most one of the beautiful sights anywhere. Artesian springs feed water, clear and cool over a limestone bottom for many miles. I had been gathering some longhorn cattle with a friend and we wound up working much later than normal. It was a spectacular sight as the full moon was rising and the splashing water glistened as we were “Crossing the Nueces”.
